ANN’S LEGACY AUCTION

In order to raise money for Brighouse Central Foodbank for our annual fundraising to continue the legacy left in Ann Walker’s will, there are two unique items on auction. See the bottom of the blog for how the auction will run.

ANNE LISTER QUILT

This is a handmade quilt (with pole sleeve for wall hanging) called “Miss Lister of Shibden Hall” made in California by Gen McGarvey, a member of the Gentleman Jack fandom. It is 180cm x 180cm.  This is an ideal gift for a fan of Anne Lister and Gentleman Jack.

WALKER TAVERN “PUB SIGN”

This is a professionally printed square sign (70cm x 70cm on 4mm Correx – lightweight corrugated plastic board) created for the Ann Walker Tavern night at ALBW 2022.  It was hung in the event space for one evening. It features the Walker Crest created by Bicapop (Redbubble Shop) . This is an ideal gift for a fan of Anne Lister, Ann Walker and Gentleman Jack

HOW IT WILL RUN

The Auction will start Friday 2nd December 2022 at 4pm Lightcliffe Time. It will run for TEN days (we originally stated 2 weeks but eBay only has a maximum of 10 days allowed).

All money raised for the items at this auction will be donated to Brighouse Central Foodbank as part of In Search Of Ann Walker’s fundraising in the name of Ann Walker.

The money raised for the items will be paid by the buyer through eBay to the eBay account of Diane Halford (co-founder of ISAW) and then it will be added to the fundraising appeal’s JustGiving Page under the name “Anne Lister Quilt” or “Walker Tavern” as soon as the payment has cleared and this will be evidence of the donation. eBay fees will be paid by the seller and will not affect the donation.

Screenshots of final eBay price (excluding buyer’s name) will be added here for transparency as well as screenshots of the donation.

Postage will be retained by the seller in order to send the items to the buyer.  It can also be picked up in person from West Yorkshire area or can be kept until ALBW 2023 for in person drop off. Buyer responsible for custom charges if applicable.

Mail strikes in the UK in December may affect the length of time it takes for the item to get to you.
